Sandals Adds New Restaurants for Sandals 2.0
The three Sandals resorts in Jamaica that are due to reopen later this year after being extensively updated to Sandals 2.0, are going to have some new dining experiences available. Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay, and Sandals Caribbean Cay, are due to reopen on 18 November, 18 December, and 18 December, respectively.
Here’s a list of the new restaurants and which resorts they’re coming to:

In addition, these restaurants will still be at the resorts:
Soy, Jerk Shack, and Pizza at MoBay.
Jerk Shack, Pizza, Bombay, and The Cricketer’s Pub at Caribbean Cay.
You might notice that Sandals Montego Bay already has a Butch’s Steak and Seafood restaurant which is apparently being transitioned into a Butch’s Island Chop House. I wonder what the difference is.
As for the rest of the ‘old’ restaurants, like The Cricketer’s Pub at MoBay, we’re not sure. But what we did hear is that Tokyo Jo’s at MoBay is no longer there, and that’s a shame because they had some fantastic food there. And we’re not sure if that style of restaurant is going to be picked up by one of the new ones.
It seems like they are going to a more open air concept for a lot of the new restaurants (as shown in the picture above, although I don’t know which restaurant that is), along with “family style” seating, and more emphasis on local and Jamaican influenced dishes. We have yet to see actual menus for any of these new eateries, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for those to make an appearance.
