It’s only about a month away before the first of the “Jamaica 3” reopens. The Jamaica 3 are Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay, and Sandals Caribbean Cay. All 3 have been closed since Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica in late October of last year. Not only did the 3 resorts get a lot of damage from the hurricane, but Sandals decided that since they had to close them anyway, they’d upgrade them to what they call Sandals Two Point Oh.

Just what you want on a Caribbean vacation. A couple of nice chairs on a terrific beach, an umbrella for some shade, nice bright sun, and a little table to put your drinks on. Nice and private, no other people around except occasional visits from your butler, and not a care in the world.

If you have ever looked at the Sandals website and seen the phrase “Book Online and Get an Instant $100 Credit”, you probably thought that the only way to get the credit was for you to book your own trip. Well as it turns out, it’s NOT!

If you are a fan of Sandals and Beaches, you’ve probably already heard yesterday’s announcement about the new partnership between Royal Caribbean Group (RCG) and Sandals Resorts. The Royal Caribbean Group is the parent company of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises.

Does it seem like it rains a lot when you’re on vacation? If you go to one of the Caribbean islands, sometimes it seems like it rains every day. The thing is, it might. But there are those days that it’s so hot, that you wish a cloud would come over for just a couple of minutes. And a light sprinkle would probably feel really good.

I’d never heard of IRBS until a couple of days ago. It stands for International Remote Baggage Screening and it sounds like a real time saver, so hopefully its implementation expands quickly.

Well, this blog is about Club Mobay, but there are other clubs, too. Club Mobay is an airport lounge at Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It does NOT provide transportation to any resort. Transfers can either be a part of your booking with the resort, or you can hire a private transfer, but that is all separate from Club Mobay.

There have been several improvements to the Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The most recent major improvement was the lengthening of the runway. Of course, that one is hard for the people passing through the airport to benefit from.
