While we were in Jamaica on our latest vacation, Sandals announced that Beaches Ocho Rios was going to close on 25 May 2025.

The reasons given were that the property needed to be updated, but they don’t own the property, it’s leased.  So they were closing it.  The resort may reopen, but they were discussing their options with the property owner.  Not time frame was given, so as of now, the property will be closed.
